Toucan Outdoor Security Camera is based on a simple principle - use your existing home Wi-Fi network and download app “Kuna Smart Home Security” (available for iOS and Android devices). The free app allows you to control all functions of your Toucan Outdoor Security Camera go through your mobile devices.
For Android version, the app is named “Kuna Home Security” and can be downloaded from the Google Play store.
For iOS version, the app is named “Kuna Smart Home Security” and can be downloaded from the Apple Store.
Toucan™ Outdoor Security Camera requires mobile devise with iOS 9.3 and above or Android 4.3 and above.
Besides Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, Toucan Outdoor Security Camera does not work with any other home automation devices currently. (Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant are work with Smart Socket only.)
You are able to share your account with multiple mobile devices and users. All users must sign up with their own account. The primary user can share with up to 10 users via the e-mail address they used to sign up.
Yes. Toucan Outdoor Security Camera requires a wireless internet connection for operation. Toucan Outdoor Security Camera is compatible with wireless routers running 802.11b/g/n, 2.4 GHz.
No. Toucan Outdoor Security Camera is powered through the 120V AC coming from your existing outdoor light fixture. Just simply install the Smart Socket, then plug-in USB power adapter. No battery, no hardwiring required. (The USB cable is included and approximately 3 feet.)
Each Toucan Outdoor Security Camera can control more than one smart socket under app.
The maximum wattage is 40w and standard A15/A19 size CFL, LED light bulb or incandescent light bulb.
You may find a small hole under the USB port. Insert a paper clip into the hole, then press and hold the reset button for four seconds.
Follow the steps of “Setup Kuna app with Smart Socket” to reset.
If this procedure does not work with your smart socket, please turn the power switch on and off four times to reset the smart socket.
No, a monthly subscription is not mandatory. Video retention is 2 hours for basic accounts and 30 days for subscribed accounts. Videos for both account types may be saved to your mobile device and will then be available indefinitely.
The basic service, without any monthly subscription, will store videos on the cloud for 2 hours. To store videos for longer than 2 hours, a subscription is required. There are three subscription plans, which are:
Essential Security - $4.99 per month, 7-day video retention, supports 1 camera
Peace of Mind - $9.99 per month, 14-day video retention, supports 4 cameras
Absolute Control - $19.99 per month, 30-day video retention, supports 8 cameras
Toucan Outdoor Security Camera was not meant to be viewed from desktop computers. However, it can be done by using emulators, but we do not recommend doing that.
